Oban, or Gateway to the Isles, was founded in 1794 by John and Hugh Stevenson. While it has undergone many improvements since 1883, today our Whiskey is made using only the finest barley, malted to the distillerys own particular specifications and finally distilled using lamp glass-shaped stills. Marrying the sea air character of the Island malts to the soft, fruity style of the Highlands, Obans attractive West Highland character reflects its location and makes for an unforgettable drinking experience.
